In January, Flotilla 11 held their annual Change of Watch (CoW) ceremony. LT Sisk was the guest speaker. During the event, Leslie Parks was sworn in as a member. Jim Appleby retired, and the new 2024 staff officers were sworn in. Some photographs from the event are below.

    Lyle Schrag received a Northwest District Award Plaque for his 2023 work with the Chaplain Support Program.

  • Member Training

    Workshops, core training refreshers and courses completed by Flotilla 11 members from November 2023 to March 2024.

  • Navigation Systems

    Pam Chelgren-Koterba taught electronic chart sessions at the 2024 Seattle Boat Show, and the remaining Northwest District NOAA raster charts are being retired in May–July 2024.

  • Operations

    The flotilla continues to run patrols and train new crew and coxswains, with several patrols planned for spring 2024.

  • Public Education

    Flotilla 11 offers Boat America classes, which qualify boaters for the Washington safe boater education card.

  • March Flotilla Meeting

    MKC Shaine Wells of Station Bellingham described the service life extension program for the Coast Guard's 47-foot Motor Lifeboat at the March 2024 flotilla meeting.

  • Flotilla Awards

    Operational and service awards entered into AuxData for Flotilla 11 members for 2023.

  • Parting Shot

    Coast Guard Station Bellingham trains with Coast Guard Air Station Port Angeles.
