U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11 - Bellingham, WA

Activities

Flotilla 11 supports the U.S. Coast Guard on the waters of northern Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands, on the water and in the community. Here is what we do.

  • Vessel Examinations — Free Vessel Safety Checks: our trained examiners check your boat's safety equipment against state and federal requirements, at the marina or on its trailer. Boats that pass earn the Seal of Safety.
  • Boat Patrols — Crews patrol in motorboats and paddlecraft, providing a safety presence at regattas and events such as Ski to Sea, and training alongside active-duty Coast Guard crews and helicopters.
  • Training — Members train year-round for boat crew and coxswain qualifications, first aid and navigation, including the annual in-water PPE swim and exercises with Coast Guard Station Bellingham.
  • Search & Rescue — Flotilla crews support Coast Guard search and rescue in our home waters, working with Station Bellingham and Air Station Port Angeles.
  • Awards & Recognition — The awards, qualifications and service milestones our members earn along the way.
