U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 11 - Bellingham, WA

San Juan Detachment

Mt. BakerThe San Juan Detachment is part of Flotilla 11 in Bellingham, WA.  We are a small but growing group interested in promoting boating safety through education, vessel safety checks, and safety patrols in the San Juan Islands. If you are interested in being a part of this rewarding organization, contact the San Juan Detachment Officer in Charge (OINC).

The focus of the San Juan Detachment is on all aspects of member training. More specifically, however, we work with our members in the crew, coxswain, and vessel safety examiner qualifications. Qualified personnel may have the opportunity to work directly with active Coast Guard personnel and participate in joint training exercises with the exception of law enforcement and military activities.
