Bellingham SeaFeast is a free celebration on the shores of Squalicum Harbor dedicated to honoring our rich maritime culture, showcasing our thriving working waterfront, promoting the enjoyment and conservation of our precious water resources, celebrating the vitality of our commercial fishing and seafood industries, and indulging in the diverse culinary bounty that characterizes our corner of the Pacific Northwest.

  Fall 2023 awards to Flotilla 11 members, including a Sustained Superior Performance award for Lyle Schrag, membership awards, and a Northwest District Century Award for Peter Border.

• Navigation Systems

  The flotilla completed 23 of 38 PATONs and all five bridges in 2023, and Pam Chelgren-Koterba taught electronic navigation sessions; NOAA is retiring its paper raster charts.

• Operations

  Three Flotilla 11 members completed their check ride with USCG Station Bellingham.

• Coast Guard Picnic

  Several Flotilla 11 members joined local Coast Guard units at their picnic at Larrabee State Park on August 16, 2023.

• Drayton Harbor

  Gary Farrow staffed a boating safety information booth at the Drayton Harbor Days event in Blaine on August 5, 2023.

• Flotilla Meeting Speaker

  LTJG Katya Armbrecht, commanding officer of CGC Terrapin, spoke at the October 2023 Flotilla meeting.

• Division 1 Election Results

  Kevin Coulombe was elected 2024 Division 1 Commander and Rich Martinson Vice Commander.

• Parting Shot

  Coast Guard Station Bellingham hosts a water safety event for children.
